Fear is a defense mechanism. Without fear we will not be able to live long, for life is full of accidents. Fear creates the necessary awareness and actions to deal with accidents. For example fear prevents us from crossing the road without paying attention. So then what is the fear in Sri Lanka? Is it real or perceived? Who is our enemy? We have to identify the enemy to understand if the fear is real or perceived. We have nurtured and cultured fear in out minds.

VP is not LTTE. LTTE is the heart and soul of the sufferings of the Tamils in Sri Lanka for the last 60 years. It is not a terrorist organization but an international organization committed to, “ Lifting Tamil Tide Everywhere”. The Tamils in Sri Lanka are being tortured but the Tamils else where are struggling. No man can unite a society of people without an underlying cause. The underlying cause is the struggle of the people of Sri Lanka.
